Usernames you can use

iVisit account identities take the form Username.####@domain
(i.e. tim.1234@ivisit.net)

You can create your new nickname using the characters A-Z, a-z, 0-9, {} - and _ (underline) characters. At account creation you will be allocated a random 4 digit number (this is required by others to call you and is your private 'PIN' code)

Your Username can be up to 15 characters in length. e.g.

  • Fred_Smith
  • Mary-K-99
  • Italian-Male
  • T_M_C

You can not use the  @ : % # ! ~ `^ * ] [" ; , . characters in your name, as they are not compatible with international addressing / server standards and may be used for other special purposes.

Upper and lower case are seen the same so FRED, fred, Fred, fRed, frEd etc are one person. However, you will always appear to other people using the capitalization you chose when you created the username.  So, if you create the username "Fred," that is how you will always appear, though people can still address you as Fred, or FRED, or any variation on that.

You cannot register a name that is already registered by another user but you may be able to add a number, Initial, Surname or location  e.g. Fred2, FredS, Fred_Smith, Fred_Canada, or a symbol e.g. -Fred, {Fred }Fred etc.
