Sharing files, web pages and live screens:

To open the Sharing window, click Tools > Sharing Window. Everyone who wants to receive must have the sharing window open and "Receive files and URLs" clicked.

Across the top, you will see 10 buttons:

• Back allows you to navigate back through your shared URLs or Files
• Forward allows you to navigate forward through your shared URLs or files
• Reload and resend allows you to reload or resend the currently viewed URL or File to the participants you are sharing with
• Cancel send or receive allows for stopping a send or share mid-stream.
• Receive files and URLs turns on the ability to get files from others trying to send to you
• Pause button. Hold the current page and prevent any new incoming files or URL's from replacing it. Use the Forward button to page forward to new items that have arrived while you are "holding".
• Share files and URLs turns on the ability to send files to others. Click once to send the currently displayed file or URL. Hold down a moment to lock in send mode so each file or URL is sent automatically as soon as you load it.
• Capture Screen allows you to capture either a single screen or broadcast what you are viewing live on your computer screen.
• Load files opens the browser window to the right enabling you to browse your hard drive for selected files you wish to share with others. You can drag the vertical divider bar to adjust the size of the panels.
• Trash displayed file allows you to delete from your hard drive the file currently viewed. This may be a file you sent OR that you received. Deleted files will be moved to your Recycle Bin and will not be permanently deleted until you empty it.

To share a file(s) or folders, drag them from your hard drive file explorer into the Sharing window. You can also click the Load button to open the local file browser and drag from there into the left panel. You can resize the panels by dragging the vertical divider, and resize the window by dragging the bottom right hand corner.

Click the send button and the currently displayed file will be sent to all who are receiving. If you hold down the Send button for a moment, then it will lock in the down position and anything you display in the Sharing window after that will also be sent.

File sharing progress status will be shown in the bottom bar of the Sharing window, transferring filename to Username, x% of yK (the amount in Kilobytes) sent. When the transfer is complete it will display in the Sharing window or the relevant application.

If the user already has that file from you it is not sent again, simply displayed/run from their local folder.

To cancel a send in progress, press the Stop button , disconnect from the other user, or close the Sharing window.

You can move back or forward through your sent files by clicking back or forward. Hit refresh to reload and resend

To delete a received file select it and click the trash can button

You can not delete other files and folders from your hard drive this way, only files received over iVisit sharing.

To receive files with the sharing window open, click the 'Receive files and URLs' button.

When someone sends you a file a dialogue box will pop up with these options:

• Accept always from Username - automatically accept all files sent by this user
• Accept this file - accept this file, but show dialogue again if they send another
• Refuse always from Username - never accept files sent by this user
• Refuse this file - refuse this file, but show dialogue again if they send another

You can also block file and URL reception from a certain user at any time by clicking the "browser reception" button below their video window.

User settings for send/receive/call handling can be changed at any time, click the right arrow at the top of their window and click "User settings"

To hold the current file in the window and not have it replaced by the next file press Pause. When the Pause button is down, any new files and URL's will be received as they are sent. However, your browser will not display them until you press the Forward button.

Files you receive are saved in a separate folder for each iVisit user who has sent files to you. Click the Small Black arrow on the top right of your friends remote AV Window, then select "View Received Files".

Sharing Web Page URLs:

With the sharing window open and "Send files and URLs" clicked, in the Address field type the http://www.domainname.com address of the web site you wish to share and press the Enter(PC)/Return(Mac) key.

The web page will load in your Sharing window and in those with 'Receive' active

As the other person(s) send a URL it will load into your Sharing window

iVisit will keep a History of pages received, click the down-arrow to right of the address field to scroll through them.

Desktop sharing:

Windows 2K/ME/XP and Mac OS X Desk Top Sharing (Windows 98 and Mac OS 9 can view but not send)

1. Open File Sharing Window: Click Tools > Sharing
2. Click the Capture Screen button: window clears to show all under.
3. Click and hold down the Send Button for a moment to lock it down in continuous transmission mode. Or you can click the Send Button quickly to save a snapshot to a file and send it to all who are receiving you.
4. Everything within your sharing window will be sent LIVE to the individuals connected to you or in the room with you. The window is re sizeable to what ever size you would like to share.
