Chat window

The chat Window is where you will type to either a single user via message and private or broadcast your chat to an entire room. With the new "message" feature, you can now send messages to any user in your address book on or offline!

Simply click inside the chat window and begin typing then press Enter. If you are using the Message feature, at the bottom of the chat window you will see the name buttons of users. These "light up" yellow if you have received a message.

Simply click on the name to read the message and respond.

To Message the person: Click to begin sending, click again to stop sending. Or click their name button in the Chat window

• The chat window Status bar shows To: name (shows Not Connected in image above)
• Chat message lines will show date time -> to_name: message text
• Public chat shows as normal text
• Chat sent in a room but Privately to another shows as Italic text

Options:

• You can click File > "Log to file" to save ongoing chat or File > "Load from file" to broadcast a text file.
• You can also copy > drag text from anywhere else such as a web page onto the chat window and it will broadcast to people you are connected with.
• On the PC you can choose to float the chat window above others.
