Share files and URL's

To share a PowerPoint presentation with others, do the following:

STEP 1 - Save your PowerPoint file as a “web page”

  • In PowerPoint, click File > “Save As”
  • Select save as “Web Page”
  • This will create an “index.html” file and a folder with content for your PowerPoint presentation.

STEP 2 - In iVisit, click Tools > sharing Window

STEP 3 - "Receive files" is on by Default, you can turn this off by clicking the button once.

  • A permissions dialogue box will pop up when they are sent a file from you
  • Ask them to click “Accept always from user_name”
  • This will allow them to automatically accept all files sent by you.

STEP 4 - Click and Hold down the for a moment to lock it in the depressed position. This way all of the files from your power point will be sent to the people you are connected to.

STEP 5 - Drag your “index.html” file associated with your power point presentation into the Sharing window. Click here to review how to share-send files.

Mac note: This is called "File Sharing" (apple + S)

After all relevant files have been shared, you should now see the first page of your PowerPoint presentation displayed to you and those connected to you. You can now click Next and Previous slide icons on your PowerPoint presentation page to navigate throughout.
