The chat Window is where you will type to either a single user via message and private or broadcast your chat to an entire room. With the new "message" feature, you can now send messages to any user in your address book on or offline!

Simply click inside the chat window under the "Public" Button and begin typing your message then press Enter.

You can also join a Home > Chat room > Connections list. A button will appear indicating the name of the Connections list. This is a 100 way text based chat area. Simply click on it and you will be chatting to everyone on that list.

If you are using the Message feature, at the bottom of the chat window you will see the name buttons of users. These "light up" yellow if you have received a message and you will hear an audible "Ping Ping Ping" sound. Simply click on the name to read the message and respond.

Saving chat:
You can save your chat on the PC by clicking File > Save As... then choosing the filename.
You can also automatically log your chat to a selected file by clicking File > Log to file...

Loading text
Click File > Load from file... to "play" a pre-written text file to the chat window such as a story you wish to share or a lecture for an online class.

Drag-N-Drop text:
Select text in a web page or in a text document from another application, click and drag-n-drop it into your iVisit chat window to instantly paste for others to see.
