Contacts List - A new type of "List" can be created (by special arrangement). This is just like existing Connection Lists, holding up to 100 people, except you do not automatically leave on logoff. In other words, the moment a member of this list logs onto iVisit, they see an additional button adjacent to "Public" on their chat window in which they can see people's chat in your list.

Also, depending on the options chosen on the contacts list, users can join on their own or the owner can add people manually to this type of list by typing their name (like adding Moderator). In either type of "List" what you do is text chat in there by clicking the appropriate button in the Chat window for that area. Then if you decide you wish to video with others, you can meet them in the main "Chat room" (live video) or connect directly to them by clicking their name then clicking the "Call" button .

What would I use this list for? You can ask all your friends, family, colleagues to join your contacts list and then lock it so that only your contacts are always available to you and more importantly, to each other. For example if you are away from the office, you can login to iVisit and your contacts are all in your list, ready for you to call or message them. You can click home.YourName.####/Contacts and instantly see all your friends, who's online and who's not.

What is convenient about having a list? The lists are also very convenient for communications. When you or your contacts logon, they will see an additional button on the chat window next to "Public", clicking this and typing there instantly gives you all access to each other, anyone online will instantly get your chat. If you need to let everyone know something, instead of typing 10 messages, you type it once and all your contacts who are online will see it.

These lists are moderated just like any other portion of your Plus Account Home, allowing you the ability to remove people or ban them as you see fit. It is also possible to add an announcement text (note, a list announcement text applies to BOTH your Connections list AND your Contacts list.)

Special note for privacy-security concerns. In a listing, people can message you or call you without obtaining your full Username.#### until you reply or call them directly. Calling, Messaging or AVMessging a person in a list reveals your Username.#### to them. So suggest that you chat together in the listing itself first until you decide you wish to make that next level of communication.
