- Click "Connect" to call them or "Message" to send them a message.
- You can see if someone is online indicated by a green dot to the left of their name (both parties must be in each other's address books)
- The server allocates you a .#### number when you create your account. To find your Own Username.####, click People and you will see yourself listed.
Receiving a Connection request, you may do the following:
- Click "Accept", the connection will be made and you can now see, talk and chat with each other.
- Click "Busy" to send a busy signal to the person calling, they will see "Busy now" on your Remote AV Window.
- Click "Block", this will add the person attempting to call you to your "Blocked" folder in your Address Book. You can unblock someone by Dragging their name out of Trash or by clicking the Arrow in the top right of their Remote AV window and selecting "Unblock"
- To save this person to your Address Book, click the
in the top right of their AV Window and select "Save Address" from the menu.
Handling incoming calls is equally easy. There are 4 incoming call handling states:
- Caller ID on incoming calls. Allows you to screen incoming calls
- Send Busy on incoming calls. Sends a "Busy" signal to any incoming calls.
- Ignore incoming calls. All incoming callers receive a "Busy" signal and are not displayed on your screen.
- Accept all incoming calls. All incoming calls are accepted except those callers who have been Blocked.
- Exceptions to these guidelines:
- These are applied to all incoming calls unless, you had recently been called by that person or you had called them.
- If you call someone else, then they are allowed to call you back for the next 30 minutes, regardless of what mode you are in. Otherwise, two people in Ignore or Do Not Disturb mode could never connect to each other. By calling someone, you temporarily elevate their access privileges for a return call.
- You can individually set incoming call handling for each user by clicking the
in the top right of their video and then clicking "User settings" (this can also be used to set your File Sharing preferences with this individual)
To delete an item from your address book, drag it to the trash can at the bottom of the list. Items will not be permanently deleted until you choose "Empty Trash" from the File menu.
