On the Education servers the Public rooms act as a social networking forum. Private education servers are dedicated to a domain and its users.
What does it cost
We will announce our pricing by end of April when we release our public beta. But we can say that we will offer some free products and keep our tradition of offering high quality low cost licenses for our Virtual Office, Teleport and Polaris solutions.
How can you offer such low prices
Primarily because of our peer-peer architecture which uses our server just as a directory and passes all the traffic between the users computers. This means we do not have to host an expensive media server.
How is your performance
Our performance is comparable to the best and most expensive solutions on the market. We have optimized our technology to deliver hi-quality over lo-bandwidth. Additionally our performance is always consistent and does not depend on the load of the server but the size of your peer-peer bandwidth. Higher bandwidths allow more users to join the conference with little degradation.
Is my name exposed on your network
No, iVisit is designed for privacy. Only people you invite to your network can see you and find you. However you can create public rooms and allow people to meet around subjects and interests.
Who can I talk to with the Teleport
Teleport clients are like any other users on the iVisit network. You have you address, people can see if you are available and call you for another PDA phone with iVisit teleport installed or any PC or Mac with a teleport client.
Will everyone have to have a license
Everyone has to has a user name and we will offer a free license for anyone to join and make one-one calls on the iVisit network.
