Orang Dialameh – Co-founder CEO iVisit 2002- present
Orang Dialameh is the Co-founder and CEO of iVisit. Orang has been responsible for conceiving and leading the development and commercialization of iVisit’s new offerings. Orang initiated and secured two National Eye Institute research projects SeeStar/SeeScan which have led to development of iVisit’s new fixed-mobile offerings. SeeStar and SeeScan extend iVisit’s reach to mobile platforms as well as integrate a variety of novel technologies to enable remote assistance of visually impaired.
Prior to iVisit Dialameh co-founded Eyematic Interfaces Inc. where he led a team of renowned scientists, and engineers, developing world class computer vision solutions for security and automotive safety applications as well as a fixed-mobile rich media communication platform. Eyematic’s innovative technologies attracted $28 million in funding, licensing and co-marketing relationships from Deutsche Telekom, Texas Instrument, Sun Microsystems, Qualcomm, Intec, Omron and TRW.
Eyematic was credited with a number of best in class capabilities:
- Continually one of the most accurate face recognition technology based on US government tests (FERET)
- The only robust non-invasive facial feature tracking software in the market
- Award winning fully automated facial animation system for film as well as consumer applications.
- First Java 3D rendering engine for browsers. (Shout 3D)
- iVisit p2p multiparty video conferencing system. (currently the only p2p multiparty video conf. solution on the market)
- First animated messaging service in U.S. launched by Verizon (Shout Messenger) and later through NevenVsion to Docomo-NEC and now bundled with Logitech webcams.
In 2002 Eyematic was restructured into NevenVision and iVisit LLC. NevenVision focusing on machine vision technologies was acquired by Google Inc. in 2006.
Tim
Tim Dorcey – Co-founder CTO iVisit 2002- present
Tim Dorcey is CTO and co-founder of iVisit. Tim is the principal architect
of the network communications and media encoding capabilities that underlie
iVisit products. He is also the principal investigator in charge of network
communications for the National Eye Institute funded SeeStar and SeeScan
research projects, which integrate object recognition and mobile audio/video
communications to provide remote assistance for visually impaired users.
Tim is recognized as a pioneer in the development of Internet
videoconferencing. While at Cornell University in 1992, he created the
first widely used Internet videoconferencing solution, CU-SeeMe. Prior to
iVisit, Tim was Director of Networking and Communications Solutions at
Eyematic Interfaces Inc. Prior to Eyematic, he led the Advanced Technology
Group at BoxTop Interactive. Tim has an M.S. in Psychology, and an M.S. in
Statistics from Purdue University.
Karan
Karan Bavandi – VP Business Development October 2007 – present
Karan Bavandi is Vice President of Business Development with over 20 years of sales, marketing and software development experience. Prior to iVisit Karan founded Optimal Access a software company dedicated to solving the problem of saving and sharing search results, where he still acts as the chairman.
Prior to Optimal Access Karan was one of the founding executives at KeyLabs a leading Network testing and software development company founded by the former executives at Novell. At Keylabs, Karan was responsible for building the sales organization, pricing and marketing strategy., were he grew sales to 5 million dollars in 2 years and positioned the company for successful acquisition by Exodus a then leading hosting company. The software arm of KeyLabs was also spun into Altiris, who went public in 2001 and was acquired by Symantec.
Prior to KeyLabs karan was national Sales Manger at XXCAL a leading software and hardware testing company. At XXCAL Karan introduced the 3tier certification program which helped AMD market its CPU to OEM’s against intel. Under Karan’s leadership XXCAL sales grew by more than 250% in 18 months.
Karan has masters in computer engineering from Syracuse University.
Michael
Michael Hicks - VP Support & Provisioning 2002- present
Michael Hicks is Vice President of Customer Support & Provisioning with over 27 years experience in Educational IT, Management Development, Change Management Consulting and Corporate Customer Relations. Michael is based in Queensland, Australia and began using CUSeeMe and iVisit in 1997 - from iVisit’s early days he's managed the iVisit online community and support services.
Since 2002 Michael has led the development and oversees iVisit’s service operation/ product provisioning and billing. Separately he led the development and manages iVisit’s customer support services. He and his team are responsible for supporting iVisit 700,000 registered users to-date and over 22 billion minutes video conferencing served to users from 100+ countries.
Michael has Degrees in Industrial Design and Education from Manchester University.
Chuck Blanchard - Director Research & Development (Human machine interaction) 2005- present
Chuck Blanchard leads iVisit research efforts in user interface design for iVisit’s SeeStar and SeeScan and other advanced services development projects. Chuck has over 20 years of experience with a wide spectrum of user interface and Human Computer Interaction applications ranging from virtual reality systems, and VR interactivity programming, to consumer communication applications. As a cofounder and Director of Software Development at VPL Research the pioneering Virtual Reality company along with Jaron Lanier et al. made VR accessible to a large number of developers and popularized virtual reality making a household concept. Mr. Blanchard has Multiple Sclerosis and has used a wheelchair for over 20 years. He has therefore been a user of computer speech interfaces as well as computer vision solutions which can be of assistance to users with disabilities. Chuck will be responsible for user interface design and application interfaces for SeeStar and Remote Assistants.
Chuck was a Director of Software Development at Eyematic Interfaces responsible for the development of Eyematic breakthroughs in synthetic character animation and other rich media communications applications.
Prior to Eyematic Chuck was Director of Software Development at Pulse Entertainment Inc. a leader in 3D animation technologies. 10/95 to 11/97 . He was the Cofounder and Chief Scientist New Leaf Systems (changed to Talisman Dynamics Inc) 10/93 to 8/95 . He was Cofounder and VP of Software Development at VPL Research Inc, a company that coined the name “Virtual Reality” and was a pioneer in the field. 4/85 to 11/92

Marty
Martin Filipowski - Director Support & Provisioning 2002- present
Marty hails from Orange County, New York USA and heads Support Services encompassing: Server/Database administration, Account services, customer relations, quality assurance, web programming and technical support.
Having run 3 successful businesses since the age of 18, Eclectic Computer Systems, Air Art Limited and managing partner of DC Coleman Studios. At the age of 22, Marty was made VP of the Orange County Arts Federation of New York. Having 15+ years of experience in customer service, computer solutions consulting for many companies and government agencies, Microsoft certified computer OEM and web programming.
Marty holds a masters certification in microcomputers and microprocessors with Highest Honors, having several IT/OEM/VAR professional affiliations. He is also an award winning artist having had his works published.
